This department offers various health and social sciences courses to equip trainees with relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to promote health, advocate for the rights of the vulnerable groups, empower communities, manage community projects and programs and offer quality services that are tailored to the needs of clients. The department promotes trainees’ ethical and intellectual development and capabilities through critical and independent thinking, reading, and communicating and research. It fosters breadth through engagement with theoretical foundations and basic skills, and depth through the intellectual challenges explored via intensive study in a field of concentration.
